Wojtek Pukocz 1970 born in Mikolajow, Poland Lives and works in Wroclaw, Poland Wojtek Pukocz is painter, graphic artist, author of installations, films and multimedia shows combining video images with music performed live. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław in 1997, diploma in painting (Prof. Stanisław Kortyka’s studio), currently professor at the Department of Painting in Architecture and Multimedia and head of the Electronic Media and Multimedia Studio. Since 2012 dean of the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture of his alma mater. Wojtek Pukocz is author of over a dozen solo and tens of collective exhibitions, as well as curator and organizer of exhibitions. Twice granted the Rector’s Award during his academic career in recognition of organizational activities for the benefit of the Academy (in 2008 and 2012). In 2001 awarded the BWA Wrocław Prize in the 5th Geppert Competition for best young Polish painters, together with an honourable mention. In 1997 awarded the “Format” Art Prize and an honourable mention at Promocje ’97 review of young artistic talents in Legnica. Lives in Ligota Mała near Wrocław and works in Wrocław.
