HSD - Hic Sunt Dracones (here are dragons) - stems from the original ‘Hic Sunt Leones’ (here are lions), a description used in ancient maps to describe an unfamiliar land – a terra incognita. The aluminium sandwich plate is a material that, when cut and folded, it relatively easy blends into the architecture of a space: a corner is a place where lines of a space connect, where there is a tension in space because of the connections that are made. The folded aluminium pieces let themselves be placed in unconventional ways and unconventional places within the exhibition space, creating a new space. They follow their own will, their own order.
