Alek Slon Born 1975 in Warsaw, Poland Lives and works in Warsaw, Poland Alek Slon graduated from painting faculty of the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome and from philosophy of the University of Warsaw. He is the co-founder of “Front Sztuki”, an artistic association and TA3 artistic tenement in Warsaw where he has his studio. He mainly creates oil paintings and drawings but recently also multimedia installations, animations and videos. His work reflects humanity's primordial desire for structure. The imagines he performs are elements of the inner landscape - the domain of homo pictor described by Hans Jonas in his “The Phenomenon of Life”.
